Since the age of 14, Brittany has been pursuing her dream of becoming a model. Despite rejection along the way, she did not allow that to shatter her dream to be a model. During high school and college, Brittany participated in runway shows; while in college Brittany educated herself on the ins-and-outs of fashion and modeling. After graduating college and moving back home, Brittany has been working to building her portfolio and branding herself as a model for years. (more…)

There are always a myriad of adventures to attend if you’re venturing into the District of Columbia (and, of course, an outfit for every pit stop). This year Capital Area Food Bank will be hosting the 6th Annual Empty Bowls event. Each year an effort is made by area artisans to bring the community together through art, to help in the struggle against hunger. For just a donation of $25, participants will receive a lunch of soup and bread along with handcrafted ceramic bowls to take home. These bowls are one of a kind! The soup and bread for the event will be prepared by local chefs and bakers. (more…)
